Installing LIO to Panasonic Base Stations

1. Press and release on top of center module cover to unlatch. Allow cover to swing down and expose settings.

2. Feed audio cable behind center module and through cutout.

3. Locate “REMOTE SP 8Ω.”

4. Using a small, flathead screwdriver, secure red wire into positive (H) terminal.

5. Using a small, flathead screwdriver, secure black wire into negative (C) terminal.

6. Locate black volume knob labeled “REMOTE SP VOLUME” and adjust to approximately 7.5.

7. Remove cover above volume control knobs to gain access to settings.

8. Ensure switches 2 & 3 are in the “ON” position.

9. Replace settings cover.

10. Close main cover of center module.

1. Gently push in and pull down to remove cover and expose wires.

2. Feed audio cable behind center module.

3. Locate “AUX SP (8Ω) CLASS 2 WIRING.”

4. Using the small, flathead screwdriver, secure read wire into positive (+) terminal.

5. Using the small, flathead screwdriver, secure black wire into negative (-) terminal.

6. Replace cover.

7. Press wrench icon.

8. Enter passcode: 12345

9. Press “lane.”

10. Press “AUX Speaker.”

11. Ensure that Outside MIC is “ON” and volume level set to 15.

12. Ensure that Headset TALK is “ON” and volume level set to 15.

13. Ensure that Beep is “ON” and volume level set to 15.

1. Gently push in and pull down to remove cover and expose wires.

2. Feed audio cable behind center module.

3. Locate “AUX SP (8Ω) CLASS 2 WIRING.”

4. Using the small, flathead screwdriver, secure read wire into positive (+) terminal.

5. Using the small, flathead screwdriver, secure black wire into negative (-) terminal.

6. Replace cover.

7. Press wrench icon.

8. Enter passcode: 12345

9. Press “lane.”

10. Press “AUX Speaker.”

11. Ensure that Outside MIC is “ON” and volume level set to 15.

12. Ensure that Headset TALK is “ON” and volume level set to 15.

13. Ensure that Beep is “ON” and volume level set to 15.

Installing LIO to 3M Base Stations

1. Take off cover.

2. Along right hand side of base station, locate MON SPKR and secure red wire in slot.

3. Secure black wire in slot directly below labeled COM.

4. Locate a control knob.

5. Locate volume control labeled MON INBD.

6. Rotate control knob clockwise until it doesn’t turn any more.

7. Locate volume control labeled MON VOLUME.

8. Rotate control knob clockwise until it doesn’t turn any more, then rotate counter-clockwise

one quarter turn.

9. Replace cover.

1. Remove cover.

2. Feed audio cable behind center module and through cutout on left hand side.

3. Locate the two MON positions on left hand side of center module.

4. Using the small, flathead screwdriver, secure red wire into top “MON” position.

5. Using the small, flathead screwdriver, secure black wire into bottom “MON” position.

6. Replace cover.

7. Press MODE button once. It should prompt for a passcode on bottom of screen.

8. Hold down MODE button while pressing 1, 2, 3, 4. Let go of MODE button.

9. Press MODE button 3 times to get to SYSTEM MENU.

10. Scroll down to “Monitor Volume” and press ENTER.

11. Ensure that Inbound Listen Volume is set to 15 and Enable is “ON.”

12. Ensure that Outbound Listen Volume is set to 15 and Enable is “ON.”

13. Ensure that Vehicle Present Volume is set to 15 and Enable is “ON.”

14. Press MODE button 2 times to get to Main Menu.

*Volume may need additional adjustment depending on circumstances unique to each location.

Installing LIO to HME Base Stations

  1. Remove center module by sliding up and away from wall.
  1. At top of center module, locate green terminal block.
  1. Secure red wire into position 7 and black wire into position 8.
  1. Remount the base station by lining up screws in wall with holes on back of center module.
  1. Take off cover.
  1. Locate red box with twelve white switches on the main circuit board.
  1. Ensure that switches numbered 6 and 7 are in the up position.
  1. Locate GRILL SPEAKER LEVEL just below left antenna.
  1. Use small, flathead screwdriver to rotate clockwise until it doesn’t turn any more.
  1. Replace cover.
  1. Open center module by pulling on black knob on the front panel.
  1. Feed audio cable behind center module and through cutout.
  1. Locate green terminal block located in top left corner of circuit board.
  1. Using a small, flathead screwdriver, secure red wire into position numbered 7 on the terminal block.
  1. Using a small, flathead screwdriver, secure black wire into position numbered 8 on the terminal block.
  1. Locate row of white switches with red background labeled S6.
  1. Ensure switches 2, 4, & 5 are in the up position
  1. Close front panel of center module.
1.  Open the center module by using the 2 push tabs on top of the center module.

2. Feed audio cable behind center module and through cutout.

3. Locate green terminal block at top of circuit board labeled J1.

4. Secure red wire into slot labeled 6 and black wire into slot labeled 7.

5. Close center module.

6. Press BACK button on center module to light up display.

 

7. Press MENU button on bottom left hand of screen.

8. Press VOLUME ADJUST button on bottom left hand of screen.

9. Press CEILING SPEAKER.

10. Highlight INBOUND AUDIO.

11. Use UP arrow to raise volume to 15.

12. Press BACK button 3 times to show the main screen.

1.  Open the center module by using the 2 push tabs on top of the center module.

2. Feed audio cable behind center module and through cutout.

3. Locate green terminal block at top of circuit board labeled J1.

4. Secure red wire into slot labeled 6 and black wire into slot labeled 7.

5. Close center module.

6. Press BACK button on center module to light up display.

 

7. Press MENU button on bottom left hand of screen.

8. Press VOLUME ADJUST button on bottom left hand of screen.

9. Press CEILING SPEAKER.

10. Highlight INBOUND AUDIO.

11. Use UP arrow to raise volume to 15.

12. Press BACK button 3 times to show the main screen.
